Course Information
Classes designed for ages 7+
Working in teams, students first build and then program their robot to complete challenges specifically designed for that class. Classes are built around various themes and levels of difficulty. Classes range from Level 1 (beginning building and programming projects), Level 2 (previous building and programming experience) through Level 3 (advanced building and programming projects). As their skill level advances, your child can increase their understanding of robotics by incorporating the use and programming of sensors on their robots, building progressively more complex robotic creations and completing more difficult programming challenges. Participation in these classes enables your child to enhance their understanding and mastery of the technological world in a hands-on, fun filled program. Data input, problem solving, understanding of software components and working as part of team round out the learning experience.
Classes designed for ages 5 & 6
Working in teams, Robotics for the Younger Set students are able to combine their love of building with special themes and storylines to propel their technological skills to a whole new level. Students first build and create a robotic character then learn the programming skills which enable that character to interact with and follow a programmed story line. Building skills, programming challenges, data input and teamwork all combine to make these hands-on classes a terrific first step into the exciting world of robotics.

Ocean Odyssey

Working off a research vessel, robot challenges include schools of fish, a trapped dolphin, a shark, a submarine, oil spills and solar transmission towers.
Mars Exploration

On the surface of Mars, robot challenges include astronauts, remote transmitters, Martian rocks, craters, core samples and roaming space craft.
Robot City

This little city has all the power resources it can use but needs your robot to bring the energy sources to the house and power station. Wind, solar, oil, corn, electricity and coal components encompass the challenges.
Pirates! Aargh!

Jump on board for a swash buckling robotic adventure! Pirate ships, trolls, magical crystals and abundant sea life await to challenge your robotic creation.
Girls Club

Explore robotics through basic programming challenges. Bring a friend!

Dinos in Robot Land

Can dinosaurs and robots live together in this crazy town?
Building, programming and a little help from some misplaced characters will determine the answer!
Robotics for the Younger Set

Building these delightful creations is only half the fun of these classes for 5 & 6 year olds! Drag and drop programming makes the creations interactive and enables the younger set to feel confident and challenged as they learn to enhance their technological skills through building and programming.
